Area 51: Dark Side of the Moon

So much has been written about America’s super-secret airbase and test facility, Area 51, that a brief précis and links to as much Area 51 info as you can swallow will suffice here (follow links at bottom of page).

In short, Area 51 ― aka Dreamland, The Ranch, The Dark Side Of The Moon, or more recently Homey Airport — is a remote parcel of dust, rock and terrible dark secrets situated in the middle of the Nevada desert, where no life (except, of cousre, alien life!) is said to exist.

For the record, Area 51’s total acreage is said to be the size of Switzerland, and includes:

* The top-secret Nellis Air Force Base and Range, where America’s top-gun pilots are trained and secret weapons systems are tested;

* The Nevada Nuclear Test Site, self-explanatory;

* Groom Lake (above), the hub of the Area 51 facility where experimental aircraft and weapons systems are tested;

And…

* The notorious ‘S-4’, the officially non-existent deep-underground facility at Papoose Lake, 17 miles south of Groom Lake, where the US military’s Defence Advanced Research Centre (DARC) is housed.

S-4 is said to occupy an entire mountain range and plunge an incredible 10 storeys below ground. It is also where captured aliens and their crashed-and-recovered spacecraft are said to exist.
