Knights Templar being burnt at the stake on Friday 13th

Closely allied to the Grail legend, the Secret of the Knights Templar is said to have been the Order’s knowledge of the alleged Royal Bloodline of Christ.
So the legend goes, the original Knights were the military arm of a secret organization called the Priory of Sion, which held documents making some pretty remarkable claims about Jesus—that he was not divine, but human; that he was a legitimate claimant to the Throne of Israel; that he was married to Mary Magdalene and that he fathered children through whom his bloodline survived.
The Secret of the Knights Templar, the legend claims, was thus more a duty than a secret: to protect all knowledge of this bloodline and its heirs until such times as it could be restored to the Throne of Israel.
Needless to say the planned restoration never happened. At sundown on Friday 13th October, 1307, the Order was declared heretical by Pope Clement V, and thousands of Knights were arrested, imprisoned and tortured, in some instances murdered.
Seven years later, the last Templar Grand Master, Jacques de Molay, was roasted alive over a slow-burning fire along with another high-ranking Knight, Geoffrey de Charnay.
The era of the chivalrous Knights Templar finally came to an inglorious end, and as a result, Friday 13th has ever since been held as a symbol of bad fortune.
If you have anything to say about the Knights Templar and their terrible secret, we’d love to hear from you…
