Pacal Votan: Avatar And Prophet

According to the great 7th century Mayan ruler, avatar and prophet, Pacal Votan, earth and humanity are fast approaching the end of an era, a 26,000-year “evolutionary program” destined to culminate on December 21st 2012.

While Pacal Votan’s interpretation of the Mayan Calendar may not be shared by everyone, this is none the less a prophecy that has gripped the imagination of millions.

But what exactly did Pacal Votan mean when he proclaimed the end of the world back in the 7th century? Could he really have known about the possible return of Nibiru and the Anunnaki and the disastrous consequences forecast with such a return?

Or the predicted approach of Planet X, bringing with it cataclysms and natural disasters tantamount to earth’s destruction?

Or maybe even that humanity would at this time be capable of destroying the world all by themselves, with nuclear weapons or a laboratory-made plague?

And what about the possibility of, say, the supervolcano beneath Yellowstone National Park erupting and casting the world into a volcanic winter, wiping out species and bringing an effective end to food production.

Are these the kind of insights Pacal Votan experienced when prophesying the end in 2012? And if so, is it any wonder some people are proclaiming 2012 as the end of an era, possibly even the end of the world as we know it?

Personally I would argue that Pacal Votan’s prophecy is more a cry for common sense than mass destruction and panic—that perhaps this turning of a natural time-cycle is more an opportunity for us to get a grip and start living in harmony with the planet and one another rather than run for the hills and start building underground shelters.

Personally I think that’s what Pacal Votan meant when he said: “If Humanity wishes to save itself from biospheric destruction it must return to living in Natural Time.”

Personally I believe that most of us will still be around on the day after the end – on December 22nd, 2012 – to discuss the matter further.

But that’s just my viewpoint. I’m wondering what anybody else might be thinking, what insights you might have…
