UFO Crashes: Britain’s Roswell Incident
The most famous UFO crash and cover-up on record is undoubtedly the Roswell UFO crash, which occurred in July 1947 in the New Mexico desert.
But although this incident remains a seminal benchmark in UFO history, it is by no means the only UFO crash on record.
Several other alleged UFO crashes have occurred in New Mexico, as well as in neighbouring Arizona and Nevada.
Many others have been reported worldwide — the alleged 1908 UFO crash in Tunguska, Russia, being a primary case in point.
But UFO crashes have also been reported in South Arica, Scandinavia, South America, even Britain.
On the night of 12th/13th October, 1987, for example, an aircraft of unknown origin was seen to crash just south of Mansfield in Nottinghamshire, England, and for days following the incident the area was cordoned off by police and a heavy military presence.
Power lines were brought down, electricity supplies knocked out, windows smashed, a house virtually destroyed and a local copse — where the craft was said to have crashed — burnt to a cinder.
Yet despite extensive coverage in UFO Realty magazine some years back, scarcely anyone in the UFO community today is aware that this incident even occured.
Cover-up? Conspiracy? Of course there was, like Roswell before it, and no doubt others since.
This is my opinion anyway. Yours? Anyone from Mansfield able to recall this event? Anyone film it? Love to hear from you…
